Silkroad travel: Xinjiang

On the road from Kansu to Kashgar we are leaving the Alaykuu mountains and entering the Tarim basin. The wind from the Taklamakan desert not only slows our descent but it brings a fine dust that darkens the sky. The asphalt is shiny from the heat, not from rain. Rain is extremely rare in the region.

Hallo Dieter!
Hier wirken die Feinabstufungen im Grau der Bergrücken ganz besonders. Ein Farbfoto fast ohne Farben.Wenn man an die farbenfrohen Berge in Deinen vorherigen Fotos denkt - erstaunlich, aber der Staub verschluckt wohl alles Farbige. Wie immer, interessanter Kommentar!

hätte mir nicht gedacht, dass du nach der ganzen Tadschikistan-Runde auch noch durch die Taklamakan fährst. Extrem weit ist das !

toujours ces si beau grands espace mais avec un plus un effet de brume qui rend cette photo encore plus grandiose
