Photographer's Note

This was from an early morning photo walk, captured looking across the meadow into Tadjik villages in the far distance of Pamir Plateau, 3600 m above sea level. Shooting against light and maintaining detail & interest can be very tricky but I simply loved how the low warm light seemed to illuminate those woolies eating away so well and throws some really good shadows. The composition was far away that I was at the end of a 300mm lens and no tripod.


The whole scene seemed to convey utter peacefulness...
