Long Way Home

| Taken during the approach trip to the base camp of our mountaineering expedition in Xinjiang province, China...the landscape is stunning...the people are tough! It was storming out there, we were sitting in a 4x4 vehicle...I asked the driver to stop and jumpped out to take this shot...and shoutted and asked where are they going..."going home", they shoutted back...I went back to the jeep...and it was about 7 hours later (moving in the jeep) we saw the first little pastoral Tent.....they have to trek for such a long way home...these nomad with their flock live in such remoteness with their tough volition and faith of life... I was shocked... |

Lovely shot, well balanced. Reminds me of the same in Kashmir but they only lived in the mountains in the summer crossing snowfields in late spring to get to the high grazing ground.
