[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Monks from the Sera monastery a little north of Lhasa, just after finishing their "debates".

This is a quite interesting practice, where they sit in small circles in the courtyard and discuss religious issues. One of the older monks will stand up, and discuss with the younger novices. When one of them have made a strong point or argument, they clap their hands hard (with the outside of the right hand clapping the inside palm of the left one), making a loud CLAP!!!
This is simply to emphasize their point - and I think it makes a great effect!

The whole aesthetics and form of the "debates" reminded me somehow about rap battles in hip hop culture, where the contestants battle on words and use body language to emphasize their point.
