| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Leaving Tibet, flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu, Nepal. The Himalayas are the world's highest mountains. Mt. Everest straddles both Tibet and Nepal. Only one climber so far, a Filipino with no experience of such huge climbs, has manged to ascend in Tibet, cross over Everest, descend into Nepal. He almost died three times, had bad frost bite on his toes. I met him at a restaurant, the Everest Steak House, in Kathmandu. He was very nice, but his friends made fun of him. (Sadly, I did not believe him, till I saw his picture and story in a magazine later.) |

hi Gloria, good shot, wonderful POV and sad story. People can be very unpolished and brutal to each athrer. Napal has sad history too and I hope thet people will be independent again.
