Photographer’s Note
...it was late afternoon and the sun was going down behind the marble mountains of Reting Monastry in North Tibet. The snow of the summmits have been shining in the sun and the shadows of the juniper trees (one of the last juniper-woods in Tibet) have been very lonng, as a lonesome old monk and his dog passed the wood, back home to his chapel, somewhere at the mountains, silent and decent like his whole live...
The Reting monastry is one of my absolute favorite and magic places in Tibet. The Dalai Lama said, that if he will return back to Tibet, Reting would be his favorite place to live - I can understand him.
