Quiet shot... I like it. Composition, colour frames and chinese writing are the best. It seems like a far west scene. Thanks for sharing

Hi caleb,
The cleanest dinner-table I've seen in China (or Tibet). Good light, good profile, The dull colours of the wall are a blessing in this case.

hi Caleb,
the light makes every element of this photo stand out in their own beautiful colours: from the blue of his shirt to the green and white of the wall, from the red of the sign on the wall to the tone of his skin.
the whole composition is working so well I can't take my eyes off it.

hi Caleb
Amazing how he could turn his head as if you were sneaking a shot from him? Did you know you were shooting him from another table or were you standing in front of him?
I felt him he was posing for you :)
But very good sharpness and clarity with a superb selection of your backdrop. The wall with 2 colors and the red frame on the wall is just great.
Great portrait!

Great work on light and shadows. The colours are so special with this green on the wall , they really make the shot.

Beautiful alliance as the french say) of colors in this one, Caleb, enhanced by the "looking away" of the man. fascinating to watch the subtle evolution of your handling of the mighty 24-70. tell me - how do you manage to carry it around with you - it is a BEAST, man! the light, those wonderful Canon colors, the painterly feel, al is good here my friend...
ps. After a very short and fruitless flirtation with Nikon I am back in the arms of Canon (5D MK II). It was bound to happen.. Those colors!

Hello my dear Caleb
Great photo as usual!
You focus on his expression and dispose everything besides board on the wall.
Your strategy is always marvelous, I think. Congratulation on your great job !
Thanks for sharing and best regards

Hey Caleb,
I'd missed this one...'love it. I don't really know why...the atmosphere, the man looking towards the light. Simple and quiet ambiance that I do enjoy. Works for me.

Hi Caleb,
I like the wild west feeling of this shot. You'd expect a colt and tumbleweeds...who's that comin'? You'd better watch your back! Great colour scheme, great picture.

Some one here said it: painterly. This is what comes to mind looking at your superb image. And the side glance of this man .... awesome work.
