Photographer's Note
Today I will try to do something I don't do very often - post a landscape photo :O) It's from my first trip to Tibet in 2001 and it's scanned.
On the old road between Gyantse and Lhasa - from the summit of the Kamba-la pass (4.794 m) - you can see Yamdrok Tso (4.488m). A coiling, many-armed body of water shaped like a scorpion. For Tibetans, it's one of the four holy lakes of Tibet and devouted Tibetan pilgrims circumambulate the lake - a walk of around seven days.
I can recommend to drive down to the lake and enjoy your lunch surrounded by the the most spectacular landscape :O)

Hello Tina,
breathetaking landscape, only in high place you can see such a perfect blue water. Wonderful catch, well framed, I like the colors intermittent.
Well done

Hi Tina,
Thanks for the note. This landscape shot is marvellous with fascinating colours! The blue of the water is amazing and the smoothness of the mountains are spectacular! Good DOF and POV with the sight of the road. I love the layers of the mountains with the dark one in the back. Good dramatic sky to complement with.
Well done with this not usual shot of yours.
Thanks,
Have a nice weekend,
Ricardo

Hi Tina
spectacular colours in the hills and lake , the blue of the lake is hardly believable. How I would love to walk round this one!
The blown out clouds spoil the image a little, but its still a good one
cheers, David

Hello Tina,
this is a gorgeous landscape. I love the gentlesness of the shapes, the rolling hills and the beautiful brown that dominates the hillsides.

Tina, this is a beautiful landscape. The bold red of the land and the blue of the lake are quite stunning. There's some slight overexposure in the sky - maybe post processing the land and sky separately would achieve a better balance.

Remarkable image Tina, wonderful colours. Love the blues of the water and that rich red colour of the land.
I am reading Michael Palin's book "Himalaya" at present, about his travels in India, Pakistan, Tibet, so your shots are very interesting for me. Thanks!
