Photographer's Note
This was the daily life scene you could admire from Jokhang temple rooftop. Now, it has been several days, tibetan people are fighting for their freedom and culture against the chinese army on this square and anywhere else in Lhasa. How many people died so far? I don't have a clue, because I live in China... it is pathetic :O( Tibo

A great city picture. Let's hope peace will return to Tibet as soon as possible. Squares are made for walking, not for marching (or for rioting).

Hi Thibaut,
Beautiful, sharp picture of the square before Jokhang with poles and Potala palace in the background. Very impressive note. I was in Lhasa two years ago and now I am very worried and sad seeing the events in TV. Many thanks for sharing this picture.

olá,
a very beautiful photo! i am afraid that in these days this scenne had vannished from this square! how many persons that are present in this photo have died? nobody knows! even outside of china is difficult to know! unfortunatly chinas is becoming more and more powerful to be punished for the crimes they do everyday!!

Incredibly beautiful image. I only wish it were a little closer up so I could see all the magnificent details. Nevertheless it is an excellent tribute to Tibet and its people- the colours are lovely and the note is nice, too.
