Photographer's Note
Picture taken under the "womens protector" festival in Lhasa. There were incredible amount of people gathering around the Jungkhan Temple i the old part of the city, and the fun thing is that this day the women got the opportunity to drink and party and the men had to give them money and blessings. The statue of the womens protector are only displayed every fourth year or so, and I got to see it after moshing inside the temple for hours. Ironically the protector looked like a childs drawing and kinda made me feel funny...
Want to go to Tibet? Hit it in december; low prices, few tourists, festivals like this, all the nomadic groups go for a month to Lhasa to worship after finishing their winter preparations!
levels, contrasts, duotone and USM.

it is a nice picture, the girls' pose and expression are wonderful, very nice B&W - very contrasty. the compo is so so, the girl in the middle... i'd try to find more interesting composition. anyway, it is a pleasant picture

Her expression is wonderful, very well captured moment. The backlight and the dark/blurred background really makes her stand out. the suggestion of the surroundings in the upper left corner work very well. Good job!
