Photographer’s Note
The Potala can be compared to a castle. It is the home of the Dalai Lama, who is presently in exile in India. The Chinese government has turned the Dalai Lama's home into a tourist attraction. Expressed interest - in seeing the Potala and other places of residence or worship, converted to funds raised from entry fees - does help the preservation effort of such buildings and other Tibetan artifacts. This image was taken from the back of the Potala, whilst on a walk around it. This image was taken during the late afternoon, the sky seemed white. The image was scanned and levels adjusted, blue channel was reduced somewhat.
