En mycket intressant bild vari man får en inblick i det religiösa livet som i det dagliga livet som nyfiket står utanför. Det blir att fint djup i bilden genom avståndet mellan dessa båda delar. En tilltalande färgharmoni också.

You're capturing well this scwne by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the religious rituals in Tibetan temple. It's also impressive in the building and monk's clothes which made red the keynote, and many candles in front of a woman believer.

Very fine scene, I like the POV through the eyes of the curious man. Good composition, have a nice day.

first of all I like the idea of shooting this scene from behind the guy who is peeking from behind the wall :-) It gives me impression of watching the scene through his eyes. His presence also work very well for the whole composition creating some interest in the foreground. After that one notices the praying monks and very interesting interior. Contrasting red framing finishes off the whole image very neatly.
Have a lovely weekend

This composition is very much story telling of a very interesting vignette of life giving us an insight into another world. You have a solid shot and a decent amount of contrast with prayers inside stand out more in the setting. The geometric elements are ideal all the actors are within a big frame and the watcher standing there with a sense as if telling us to get in closer so that we can see exactly what is happening inside and being part of the rituals. Excellent bit of photojournalism shot, Congrats

its alwys fun to try and guess what year these photos are taken before finding out the answer by clicking on the image :)
the man in the fg evokes a creepy feeling for me, as if he's eavesdropping, or hes' in an area he shouldn't be, but i'm sure hes' not actually being creepy at all...the scene just looks that way from this POV.
I was 11 years old when this was taken, I wonder where that older man is now?
another interesting image from years past.

Another fine example of times gone by.
An everyday scene of a world so far apart from our own, it gives us a nice glimpse in the religious life of the people of Lhasa, monks or otherwise. With your POV it is like standing just behind the peeking man oneself and looking over his shoulders.
hejdå och trevlig helg

this is a very interesting scene to observe and your composition is great as, apart from presenting the scene and scenery, it also gives an intriguing role to the viewer. There's wonderful depth and clarity that allow us to feel this place and see the fascinating decoration in the background. I like looking at the people in different roles connected to the temple, the religious practice and the atmosphere. It's nice to see how the man in the foreground respects the monks' preyer and it's intriguing to think why he's waiting there and what he's thinking. Lighting and colours are great. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great week,

Hello dear Gert,
Just another topclass "oldie" !
Good pov and crop. Those people living at tht top of the world are most probably quite poor but I do believe much more happier than we, people of the so called civilised world ! What we do pay for a huge amount for this ?
TFS and have a nice evening

Life must be all consuming among the inhabitants of Tibet, I imagine comparable only to those of Thailand. The body language of the man reveals his personal humility, demurring to the priests and monks running the temple.

Hello Gert. Ritual and spectators. A beautiful everyday photo. Spectators are everywhere. Even the photographers are spectators and observers. There is nothing better than watching somewhere relaxed.

Hi Gert, Interesting scene. it seems he is not allowed to see it or maybe doesn't want to disturb the monks. Tibetans and Burmese are perhaps the most religious people, they pray constantly.
Now in Jokhang and some other places, like Potala Palace, it is not allowed to make photos, so it is interesting to see this interior. Good scanning as always.

Wonderful photos from Tibet in the gallery. I envy you a bit! Despite minor flaws (see WS), this photo is probably the best! Others have already praised enough. From me this much!

Old, but a very good quality shot! I really like this daily scene - it's an unusual one, but really interesting. I like the curious man looking from behind the wall and the concentration of the monks praying. You framed them very well and colours are very good also!
