Photographer's Note
on the streets of the capital city...
Lhasa , Tibetan simplified Chinese: 拉萨; traditional Chinese: is the administrative capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China and the second most populous city on the Tibetan Plateau, after Xining. At an altitude of 3,490 metres (11,450 ft), Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world. It contains many culturally significant Tibetan Buddhist sites such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang and Norbulingka palaces.

Hello Grzegorz,
What a high quality image. Unbelievable, the man speaking on his cellphone in dense trafic and not watching the road. It is just such a different image and very well presemted in B&W. I would have cropped off the car on the right to make the subject even more immediate. Well seen and well captured.

Hello Grzegorz,
An excllent b/w subject that has been very well photographed. A good choice of DOF as the background traffic is distinguishable but not distracting from the man on the motocycle. The rider seems very relaxed, both driving and using his phone!

Hi Grzegorz!
A great portrait and a well displayed Daily life photo of the new China! The over exposed choice you made works out very well in the B/w version!
Nice work!

Hi Grzegorz, very nicely worked shot, biker is beautifully isolated from its surrounding, also the calm posture of the man is interesting. Didn't the police give him a ticket in Lhasa...Lol..

Dear Greg,
When I strolled thru your gallery, my biggest pleasure was to come across to pictures from Tibet. This one, IMHO, excels in the sense that it gives the current transition in the country in a very successful way.
Tradition and modernity go hand in hand in this geography, especially in Lhasa. Having arrived directly from Nepal's Kathmandu, I was astonished to see the symbols of modernity in Lhasa: the modern cars, large avenues, modern buildings, well-known brands, etc.
You captured this contrast very well, nice crop, good choice of b&w which put the model in main focus, and very good timing.
Congrats.
Dobry wieczór...
Erdem
