The monks at Sera monastery are famous for their debates. The monks gather in the courtyard to debate religious matters and emotions rise pretty high. In the shade of the trees hard shadows are cast.

Hello Steve,
That is a wonderfully different composition you have there! Breaking all portrait rules - as far as there are any. I like it for that and the nice gaze and dark black parts. Nice one!

a bold image Steve - there is something here which reminds me of experimental paintings I did maybe three decades ago! How on earth did those thirty odd years fly by? I really like this - it adds mystery to the ordinary and the ordinary to the mystery......
