Photographer’s Note
I met this man outside his house in a village near Lhasa city in 1986. He was relaxing on his doorstep, fingering his rosary, and didn't mind me taking some pictures.

i can feel the flavour of age - the place, the model, and the photo itself - all have this aging feel...

Hi Gert,
The man in the photo has a amusing look and a quarter smile..like that f Monalisa by Michael Angelo..It is up to the person to interpret the smile as happy expression or sad feeling..
Great Portrait...and natural colors..
Cheers

Hi Gert,
a very impressive shot, so many realistic...
I like too the particular effect by use of wide-angol lens.

Hello Gert,
Really wonderful tonality, depiction of his clothes' color is exquisite, yellow wall with a touch of blown out is also beautiful.
This is a praiseworthy wonderful work!
Have a nice day, Hisashi

Hej Gert,
I am quite certain that I reviewed this picture before, mentioning that it was like an unfinished painting where the painter (deliberately) had left the upper left corner just like a sketch (or something like that). Now I see that this didn´t go through. Very peculiar. Sorry about that. But here are two well deserved smileys!

this picture is as sensitive as the title is insensitive. maybe you want to change it. TFS

Hello Gert
The detail in his clothing, footwear, not to mention his aged face all combine to make an interesting compositon. I also wonder whether he is sad or whether he is happy. TFS, Marlene
