Photographer’s Note
The 275-year-old temple of the King of Culture in the Shaxi Valley. The local government turned the temple complex into a guesthouse for foreign visitors. The guests haven't diminished the condition of the site, though. The temple sits on a little hill overlooking a village, rice fields, and colza fields. It's lit at night with red lanterns.
