This HDR image was taken in the first hours of a day in January. It is a cold winter day. The terraced fields are filled with water. Strong winds push away and bring fog, the landscape is changing fast. This image is made of 3 differently exposed frames. YuanYang is about 7-8 hours away from Kunming (by bus). I have visited the place twice, not many foreigners go there. YuanYang is famous among Chinese photographers, I haven't seen before so many top end camera equipment concentrated in just one place... Not only the average Chinese tourist moves around in large and loud tourist groups, also the Chinese photographer does it in similar ways. Not a nice experience.

This is my favourite of your little series from Yuanyang, Peter. I like the near bl/w effect, the mist and the glistening reflections, there's just enough of it.
Have made several trips in China since 1998 and seen how the country has changed. Also the increase of (rich Chinese) tourism has been enormous, and not always pleasant. So I sympathize with your note. :)
