« Please, please, can you stop here », c’est ce que je demande au chauffeur qui nous a pris en stop. La lumière et les couleurs sont tout simplement incroyables ! C’est vrai que depuis que je fais de la photo, je suis devenue très sensible à ça, mais là, j’ai l’impression de ne jamais avoir vu une telle intensité de vert, c’est presque fluo.
Nous sommes partis à 4 ce matin à travers les montagnes pour aller voir les rizières parmi les plus belles de Yuanyuang, nous avons marché pendant des heures, nous nous sommes égarés, et finalement, quand nous sommes arrivés, le temps était tout nuageux. C’est très beau quand même, mais nous sommes un peu dépités.
N’ayant pas le courage ni le temps de revenir à pieds, nous arrêtons une voiture. Et miracle, le soleil se lève, et une des plus belles lumière que j’aie jamais vu fait resplendir le paysage. Nous sortons tous de la voiture et poussons tous des « wooow, wooow, incroyable ! », nous n’en croyons pas nos yeux. Malheureusement, en fin d’après-midi, il n’y a pas un seul petit personnage, et c’est donc un paysage tout simple que je vous présente.

" Please, please, can you stop here ", it is what I ask to the driver who took us in stop. The light and the colors are simply incredible! It is true that since I make photo, I became very sensitive to that, but there, I have the impression to have never seen such an intensity of green, it is almost fluorescent.
We left this morning (4 people)through mountains to go to see ricefields among the most beautiful of Yuanyuang, we walked during hours, we got lost, and finally, when we arrived, the weather was quite cloudy. IAnyway,it's very beautiful , but we are a little offended.
Having neither the courage nor the time to return by feet, we stop a car. And miracle, the sun gets up, and one of the most beautiful light that I never saw made glittering the landscape. We go out of the car and can’t stop to say " wooow, wooow, incredible! ", we don’t believe our eyes. Regrettably, at the end of late afternoon, there is nobody in the ricefields, and this is a simple landscape that I show you.

This photo has a wonderful use of light. Just looking a it can feel the endless view. I love the various shades and textures from the ricefields. Sharpness and clearness are also remakable.

Bonjour Pascale,
Tu vis une véritable aventure lorsque tu voyages. L'arrêt à été pour le moins bien choisi. La lumière rend en effet les verts fluorescents, et puis ces terrasses en cascade sont superbes. Quel paysage! Bravo, c'est une très belle image, de très bonne qualité.

quelle vue ces champs en terrasse et cet éclairage sueprbe comme de vaguelettes comme tu as bien fait de faire un stop à cet endroit quelle vue et effet quel éclairage, c'est mervielleux.

what a perfect POV-- the light just adding the shadows and light to give further depth.. J'ai raté celle-ci !
Je préfère de loin tes photos de scènes de rue mais je ne peux quand même pas rester totalement insensible à cette belle image de rizières en terrasses que j'aimerais bien voir un jour de mes propres yeux, ne serait-ce que pour mesurer l'intensité du vert

great your idea to stop the guide in this point as we can see the panoramic view of the place with the cultivated rice-fields to contrast between them from the falling light.I like indeed the force of these people that through decades have cultivated the land until the top of the hills.

I have not yet been to either Yuanyang or Dragon Back Terraces near Guilin but I have seen very similar rice terraces in Bali (Indonesia)& Luzon Island (Philippines) so I know firsthand how difficult they can be to photograph. Good repetition saturation & sharpness here. Merci et bonne journee!

composition en diagonale très réussie et cette lumière met bien en valeur les volumes de cette image.J'aime également le contraste entre ce premier plan vert intense et l'arrière plan sous ce voile atmosphérique bleuté.
