Shaolin Buddhist Monastery is situated at Song Shan near Zhenzhou, the capital city of Henan province. It was founded by Batuo, an Indian Dhyana ("Zen" in Japanese) master, in the 5th century - three sources give the year as AD464, AD477 and AD497, respectively.
The Chinese martial art of Kung Fu originated here and was developed by the monks to defend themselves against bandits and wild animals. Unlike Karate, Kung Fu uses objects in addition to bare hands. The temple is visited by many groups of school boys, aspiring to become monks and masters of Kung Fu.

Hello Neels - The orange robes jump out from the subdued and dark hued background in this well composed shot. The rectangular crop works very well. TFS Rosemary

The cropping emphasises the procession very nicely. The orange colur is beautifully vibrant and there is a red theme in the boys behind the monks which is nice. very good exposure and sharpness.

thank you for your visit and comments. I have checked your gallery and like very much this one, due to the monks colors contrasting well with the background.
