Photographer’s Note
From a roadside stop on our way from Lijiang to Lugu Hu. After filling up our supplies, we sat for a while and waited for the minibusdriver to take off. I thought she would make a good subject for a portrait-shot with her colourful clothing and pipe, and was about to take the pic, when her child approached her. So he was included.
I am actually not sure, which one of the ethic minorities this woman is. Perhaps Li? Either way, her being a woman and a mother, I think, is equally important in this pic...
