Photographer’s Note
The lake is about 1900 m above sea level with the chairlift up to Dragon Gate in the Western Hills, an additional 900 metres higher up. The smog of Kunming, a city of 3 million in the distance, has softened the horizon. The chairlift terminus has an orange roof in the mid distance. Scanned from a print.

Bonjour Chris,

Hi Chris, a nice view from this point, good sharpness and lake colors are great, I find the colors of some of the fields quite intense, question related to the chair lift, is it used only to get to the viewpoint or is it also intended to transport skiers ?

An impressive view that make us discover this scenic landscape. Very nice colors but little unsaturated sky maybe due to scanning conditions. Nice pic !

Now memories are flooding back. Good shot. I like the way you have included many things in the frame. You transport us your viewers to this place.

Not too sharp tody Chris, strange for you, since it's mainly your tips that hav taught me how to get the best out of scanning. Anyway a great PoV and another fine landscape compo, which, as I said yesterday, is the main thing IMO.

nice shot, I guessed it was scanned, but it is still a nice shot, I would love to see the orignal shot without the scan too, but good job and well done

Very nice view of the lake Chris...I love the way you located the wires of the teleferic to give perspective and a lot of depth in the shot...Very well done!

An impressive view from above, Chris. Well managed perspective to include a lot of details at the wide angle, and a fine saturated color pallette. Having the cable car elements at the left contributes to a feeling of height being conveyed.

good note, and it looks like a nice place for the locals to escape the Kunming too.

Fantastic perspective and vivid colours, Chris! Amazing angle of taking, allowing to reveal all the beauty of the lake and the patchwork of the landscape around it. Fine details of the cable cars too. Wonderful job!

Impressive view over the area. Seems that there was not to many tourists on the way this day. A city of 3 million people, and I have never heard of it ... Oh, Ohhh.
Very good composition, Chris. Thanks for widen my horizon a bit.
