Photographer’s Note
I've had a 5 month break from TE. Mainly due to being busy with other things, but also because I had gone stale. Stale from feeling obliged to check in every day to see what people had been posting, and stale in my photography. When I was taking photos thinking 'this might look good on TE' rather than enjoying composing for myself I thought enough was enough.
But I'm giving it another go - I notice that others have also moved on, and from glancing at the forums it seems the site isn't as busy as it once was.
Anyway, this one is from a temple in Macau. I don't know the name and none of the people I tried to ask could speak English. It was a beautiful sunny day and the smoke from the incense made for some interesting light beams.

Welcome back Brian, soemtims its good to take a break and start afresh. This is a nice begin, I like the atmosphere created by the smoke and light and I love these giant incense cones I have thm burnign in my garden in the summer.

Good to see your photos again, mate!
I myself was having a time off from TE and just recently came back with some fresh stuff. My reasons were different though - I was a bit down because of that really bad weather we had after summer and almost
all the way till the end of last year. I just got fed
up with English weather and low light.
Anyway, this one is very interesting graphically and
colours are just to lift my spirits up on this snowy
day.
It's a pleasure looking at these straight rays of sunlight playing with spiraling incenses.
Cheers,
Robi

Hi Brian - this is a fascinating image, the circular/spiral shapes in attractive color, nicely composed with the small one in the upper left - and fabulous light from the side... very, very pretty, congratulations, Daniel
