[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In Macau, the Ruins of St. Paul's refer to the the facade of what was originally the Church of Mater Dei built in 1602-1640 after it was destroyed by fire in 1835. After all those years, the facade still stands on its own. Nowadays, the facade of the Ruins of St. Paul's functions symbolically as an altar to the city. Macau has been designated as World Heritage site in China in 2005.
