| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The purpose of this particular shot was to show a dynamism in still-life. The circular pedestrian walkway found along Garden Road and Queen's Road in Central shows some slight implication of movement around the circumference.
IMO the circular shape provides a point for the eye to adding an interesting enclosing effect, though it slices the skyscraper (Cheung Kong Centre) and makes the surrounding less important. The B&W medium adds to the geometry of the photograph.
Hope you like it. |

this is really great, Jom, I like a lot the play of curves and angles, and how the choise of black and white focuses attention on these patterns. unusual point of view, but I think it works very well to convey what you describe in your note - a sense of movement alond the curve.
very well seen and presented, my compliments.
with kind regards,
Kristine

Interesting & creative POV. I like the contrasting light & shadow. The luminosity in the hole with top of building is catchy and the main focal point for me. Pleasant graphic.
Best Regards,
Latiff.
Hi Jom,
Nice strongly graphical work! Great division here in the compo and the diagonal angle. You're very right about the enclosing effect. Works very well! Wonderful!!
Greetings,
Dennis
hi jom,
the BW tone choice is fitting. smart and original idea. the light coming into that circular space give the richness to the compo.
