VICTORIA HARBOUR - Hong Kong
Victoria Harbour is the harbour between the Kowloon Peninsula and the Hong Kong Island of Hong Kong, China. An average of 220,000 ships visit the harbour each year, including both ocean going vessels and river vessels, for both goods and passengers.
My picture attempts to depict the significant volume of shipping traffic on the harbour.
This was taken on a hazy day, so it has been difficult to achieve maximum clarity.

Wow, this is a great view. Last time I was in HK, it was raining too hard and we didn't get a single shot. One thing, you may want to sharpen this and adjust your brightness and contrast. Cheers.

nice landscape from modern life. number of ships shows the bussiness heat in this harbour .
I like the position of your camera, It's in a very nice nature far from urban problems and point to them. :)
Thanks for sharing

A very beautiful view over Hong Kong. Is it taken from Victoria Peak? It is hard to believe this picture was taken on a hazy day. Great job to get it so clear.

I like the view overlooking HK busy harbour.
I tried on the WS to take away a little of the haze. I hope you will like my efforts.

Very futuristic landscape! Our planet is amazingly diverse. One people live in skyscrapers and are pushed in the metro, and on other part of the world people till now live in yarangas and do without highways.
Magnificent picture! A successful composition of the photo. It was possible to transmit a harmonious combination of the nature and human constructions to photos.
With the best regards, Andrey.

Hi Russel. Very good composition of Hong Kong Harbour, once called Fragrant Harbour from memory, maybe less so at this time!. Good POV to show how busy this place is. Good work. Murray.

your shot is beautiful, with so much boats to find in the harbour of Hong Kong. Certainly,if the day were not so much hazy, her clarity to was amazing.

Haze seems to be the bane of urban photographers having taken over the cities more or less. If it is not mist or fog it is always smog. This is a good POV. I read somewhere that Hong Kong harbour was very sheltered and kept ships safe from Typhoons. It certainly looks sheltered.

Great POV from this hill side, it does show what your note said, it looks very busy indeed. Nice capture.

Great shot under the circumstances. Another modern city harbor. Looks a lot like Busan, Korea - Long Beach, California, etc. They are all beginning to look similar.

Very very interesting Russel!
I like that point of view very much! Crazy to see that many ships! How is the circulation controlled?
The techniques of this picture are not not the best, but I think the point of view is impressive enough to be shown. The sky is definitely overexposed and the contrast are low, which is a bit disturbing since the main subject is hidden a little but.

excellent view of victoria harbor despite the haziness...this one has sharpness and clarity to it despite the toned down hues. good idea to include the foliage also.
