Photographer's Note

I know the photo I´ve decided to present here today may seem to you very strange(I had concerns if I should post it),but there is something I like about it.
It was taken inside The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC),which is one of the two major convention and exhibition venues in Hong Kong, along with AsiaWorld-Expo. It is located in Wan Chai North, Hong Kong Island. Built along the Victoria Harbour, it is linked by covered walkways to nearby hotels and commercial buildings.

I hope at least some of you will find it interesting.

In effect this pic is very very strange,looks like 2..ehehe...and it's a great pic,is always nice to see new ideas and something to different,a jump in the deep blue and a magnificent quality of details and exposure,i like it! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

This is indeed a very interesting photo, and good fun too. Brilliant idea to tilt it like this make reflective top such a perfect horizontal while the window at this interesting angle. I spy that beautiful skyscraper again too!
That is a wonderful skyline out there, and excellent depth from the boats in the harbour. The reflective sheen looks almost like liquid. Really nicely seen shot Krzysztof, you are getting some amazing shots of this beautiful city.

I'm not sure that the rotation was the best idea but nevertheless, the composition is great. The sharpness, colors and tones are excellent and i would be curious to see an unrotated version ;)

Hi Krzysztof - I like this. The blue colours and geometric details initially catch my attention but as I look at the shot, there are so many interesting details to hold my interest. I like the tilt as it allows the distorted reflections to feature strongly in the composition. Fascinating shot. Warm regards rosemary

la tua Cina è molto particolare e le tue foto hanno un modo di rtaccontarla diverso dal solito.
In questa ripresa ti sei concesso un punto di ripresa alquanto insolito ed audace, ma il risultato mi sembra ottimo e appare molto più piacevole di una semplice carrtolina, anche perchè si vede chiaramente che dietro ad ogni tuo scatto c'è una perfetta padronanza della tecnica.

Krzysztof - a daring shot, and an effective one, no question. The tilt here created a wonderful layered aquatic feel with nice strong lines but an askew POV that almost creates the feel of actually being underwater, where up and down have less meaning. I like the faint but visible skyline in BG as well. A really accomplished work.

You made the right decision to post it, its excellent. The first things that strike me about it are the wonderful blue tones, the reflections and the graphism. I also like th rotated POV, which adds another element of artistry to an already excellent shot.

I's your realisation and creative way of making picture differently within the limited space is admired. It's the combination of 'in focus' and glimpse of secondary focal make the eye rove around the image and eventually to the main target reflecting the surrounding at the same time. A well detailed highlights in good coloring and exposure especially since you are dealing with available light. A stand out shot and seamless work, Congrats.

¦wietne jakby abstrakcyjne ujecie Centrum Wystawowego w Hong Kongu, a w³asciwie niesamowitych okien, przez ktore widaæ portowy basen i nowoczesne miasto. Podejrzewam ,¿e za 20 lat Chiny bêd± najbogatszym pañstwem swiata. Kompozycja naprawdê genialna.

Czesc Krzysiu
Ciesze sie, ze zdecydowales sie jednak zamiescic to zdjecie na TE. Rozni sie ono bardzo od przecietnego zdjecia typu "pamiatka z wakacji", ktore sie tu czesto widzi.
Tak jak zauwazyl Luciano, to zdjecie skladajace sie z dwoch zdjec: abstrakcyjnego, surrealistycznego paska u gory oraz troche bardziej realistycznej (ale, na szczescie, niezupelnie, bo horyzont po przekatnej na to nie pozwala)dolnej czesci zdjecia. Niebieska tonacja laczy te dwa elementy w jedna, nierzeczywista jak senne marzenie, calosc.
Szkoda, ze nie moge dac wiecej niz dwa punkty!

I like the composition with the view outside the window-panes in diagonal !
It's definitely a graphic photo, but it's nice to see the view over the bay and city in subdued colours outside.

I find it very interesting. It´s a real eyecatcher. At first I thought it consisted of two photos.
I really the fact that the basically same thing is depicted once in a somehow tilted way and once blurry.

I have to admit, i didn't really like it when i first viewed it....but then the more i kept looking at it the more i appreciated it and enjoyed it too! :)
there's a little bit of everything in here, reflections, city scape, waterfronts, shadows, light, interesting geometry and lines...very cool

Well, I'd say more than just a few of us liked this one! :) The aqua coloring is what initially drew my attention, it's definitely a soothing color, especially when combined with the shades of blue displayed here. I think the composition is genius, an original tilt that makes one stop and take notice. I really like the fact that it took some time to analyze and appreciate your concept. dein Foto ist wirklich wunderbar, es gefällt mir sehr
Ich hatte in Toronto kein Glück, sehr viele Defekte, Objektiv verschmutzt innen, und Fotocard defekt, beim schönsten Wetter, es ist zum Weinen, später hat das Wetter umgeschlagen, in der Frühe +1 Grad, davor hatte ich mehr beim Betrachten des Marathons noch schnell einen Sonnenbrand zugezogen. Toronto ist wirklich sehenswert, die Leute sehr freundlich, was mich gestört hat, die viele jungen Leute und das Rauschgiftproblem!
