Hong Kong vehicles, a photo from Hong Kong, South

Photographer's Note

It took me a while to decide which image I would show as the first one of my Hong Kong travelogy. Perhaps unsurprisingly it is about traffic, because that I could experience already on the airport bus (although this shot is not from that trip).
Street is full of vehicles you are not likely to meet on my home town: modern double deck city buses, one traditional Hong Kong double deck tram, rather uninspiring Toyota Comfort taxis, one handcart, and a street legal missile called Lamborghini.

Hello Kari,
the shot conveys well the real character of Hong Kong.There is a little bit of everything-for me really crazy city-in a positive way.HK is very vibrant,loud and cosmopolitan and the scene you immortalized here shows it excellently.

Hi Kari,
Your choice was perfect. Excellent snapshot of HK busy road. I like the excellent mixture of vehicles. But to get a Lamborghini is an extraorinary achievement; I don't think thta teher are many Lamborghinis on HK roads. Brilliant photo.

yes.. you chose well..... the photo is so representative of Hong Hong and its traffic.
The tram looks like a three story high building.
Nice colours.... you managed the light conditions very well.

Hi Kari,

A good collection of different forms of transportation, this is a fun mix. I really like this composition to frame them so well, and in both directions too, giving a sense of "push & pull." The focal length adds that little bit of extra appeal as it draws the viewer into the scene..but at a safe distance!? :) I enjoy street scenes from different countries, it gives me a peek into the daily life. Well managed exposure here as well, especially considering you're shooting in the shadows. Nice capture of the Lambo, what a beautiful and exotic car with a great dash of color to the urban setting. Nicely taken and presented.

Hi Kari,
so she's wearing sky blue here and it ceratainly becomes her!:)) It's amazing how it matches the colors of the tram and is so perfectly positioned to contrast it in height and shape! Love those red stars of the tail lights. Awesome street shot, I think you were pretty lucky with it.
