This is a beautiful b&w shot. I like ths simplicity of this fabulous composition. The diagonal lines of the columns and how the light falls on the floor together with the person walking in a nice position in the frame are great features here. The stonework on the floor adds nice texture. You have managed the light excellently. Great choice of title too. Congratulations, Krzysztof - you have produced a reall winner with this shot:) Have a nice weekend.

Wcale nie taka znowu zwykla scena! Swietnie zaobserwowana gra swiatel i cieni, wspolczesna wersja techniki chiaroscuro z obrazow Caravaggia. Podobaja mi sie tez ukosne linie dodajace zdjeciu dynamiki oraz w odpowiednim momencie uchwycone sylwetki ludzi.

Due to strong backlight, the choise of a B&W pic. was in tact, Krzysztof.
Nice take the diagonal shaped wall, when people stroll along and gave a good dynamic scale.
DOF and clarity were excelent collected.

an effective B&W shot this. It has such a powerful light inside it and the human elements work excellently making the scale and depth so irresistible. Perfect detailing and I love the angular shadows. An original and spectacular presentation. Well done!

I am no great fan of black and white, but everything have to can on TE.

A really perfect shot for a high-contrast B&W conversion, Krzysztof. The light really emphasizes the height of the pillars and casts exceptional patterns on the walkway. The woman is perfectly placed in the frame, and is counterbalanced well by the man walking in the opposite direction in silhouette. Very nicely seen and executed.

I know your note says this is a common scene from Hong Kong, but for me, this is surreal, futuristic and fantastic. I dont know if perhaps I watch too many movies, but I see this almost like a portal. In the background, the traditional city in the distance but in the main frame, what looks like a time travel airport, or a space station! Its ana amazing effect to combine two worlds together like this, and to do it so smoothly.
The girl brings life to the scene, reinforcing for me the idea of this being a portal of some kind, and the light in the pillars is incredible. This is a fantastic scene, so much texture and uniqueness. You chose a perfect point of view and crop, and of course a black and white is always a wonderful choice. This makes me ache to see this beautiful place, wonderful shot, and thanks for sharing.

Hello Krzysztof - What a fabulous B&W shot. The strong graphic elements are perfectly suited to monochrome which highlights the light and shade really well. Excellent composition with a good feel for depth thanks to the perspective and lighter tones in the distance. The isolated figures complete a fine shot. Top class work. Warm regards rosemary

I like the graphic feel of this scene, enjoy the pov and so well framed to dramatize the parallel lines and graphic elements in it with the figs to make it happening. The mono treament is appropriate with excellent tonal contrast and the subtle shadows adding the depth, but above all I love the atmosphere, I reckon you excell here and you just seem to have that very keen eye. The 'feel' of the place is nicely captured with mystery fig. Excellent work :))

Love the way the arch forms grey shadows in the grayscale composition. Absolute brilliant guise by the use of monochromatic shades.

Hello Krzysztof,

A picture with a nice "game" with lines, contrast
and shadows and that makes the picture the picture
exciting. The B&W emphasize that extra and it
makes the picture extra calmness.
Light management and composition are very good.
