Hong Kong people do not have many local parks to walk around, so the management offices of resident buildings try to have some nice landscaping for residents to enjoy. I saw this palm tree on my walk home.
Tech: Without looking through the viewer, I held the camera against the foot of the palm tree and took a few snaps. This was the sharpest one. Resized, sharpened. Brightness -3. Contrast +6.

Andew, what a sharp picture, the details of the palm tree are very great. The macro give the colours perfectly, I can give here no observations, your photograph is very good.
Thanks for visiting my photograph.

Ce que j'aime sur cette image ce sont les dégradés de bruns et de verts qui constituent un bon mariage de couleurs.
Beaucoup de netteté .

Thanks Andrew for the fine view

Yes, this one came out pretty good for a point-and-shoot one, Andrew. Good details and sharpness, and a simple but delightfully graphical result with the combination of shapes from the trunk and the leaves. Good colors as well.

Almost an urban jungle, Andrew, not only sharp but also a good composition. The DOF is perfect, colors and light is very agreeable. I like that you chose portrait format - going mostly for the trunk. The clean black frame is very suitable. For a shot (although you shot more than one) without looking in the viewer, this is excellent. I love palm trees. Very well done!

Nice close-up of this palm tree. I like the combinaison of green and brown colors, the mix is beautiful. The sharpness of details of the trunk are quite impressive.
Simple but effective composition Andrew!

Interesting Orme. The POV brings out a lot of details and the many shapes and patterns create an interesting juxtaposition.

good details in this shot, but maybe a crop off the top would be good because theres a blue/purple fringe happening where the bright light appears
