I like this mainly for the different perspective of the skyline as opposed to the usual Peak shots or shots across Victoria Harbour from TsimShaTsui. The Sepia tone is nice as well. Reminds me of the old photos of Shanghai.
Cheers

Very nice shot to do in B&W/Sepia. Especially due to the misty atmosphere of this day.

Interesting photographic experiment with a city like HK. Looking at pictures of the HK skyline I'm generally used to see modernity and with this sepia it looks like a picture from the 19th century. It's quite provocative and unusual.

Hi Cheukhin, Although I visited Hong Kong a few times, I never get a good view from the top like this one. I was thinking the beautiful view from the top. Thanks for posting this picture to fulfill my dream. A nicely composed picture with excellent PoV. The view is stunning.

Somehow I heard a buzz in my ears... you called me Cheuk Hin ?
That's a creative and courageous way to present the HK skyline, for us it is so modern that nobody would come to the idea to turn it into sepia, looks like an old postcard for the XXIII th century generations, a good original idea worth the praise, and I also note the absence of reflections here, well done !
Have a nice week end,
Jean-Yves

Hi Cheuk,
its rare to see a HK skyline pic in b/w. I usually associate b/w with NYC or Paris..HK is so modern that I always think of it in color. But wow, it looks great in b/w. This treatment gives it a timeless feel. Not to mention that its a great perspective view on the city from a different angle than we are used to.

Hello Cheuk Hin, this is a great view from above looking down on the other buildings and the boats. I love the low clouds and the mist in the distance. The sepia effect gives this picture an old feeling yet the scene is of course modern.

Hi CheukHin - indeed a relatively rare view, most people see it from Victoria peak of from across the strait, this is a nice different angle, unless it was overcast I would have preferred it in colour, though the sepia adds an artistic touch.

'lo Cheuk. Superb view on Hong Kong's skyline, and rather original too. The shore makes a curve towards the left upper part of the frame drawing a sort of diagonal, whihc facilitates the reading of the scene. Nice toning with good contrast balance. I really like your point of view, here.

I was thinking how sharp and clear the buildings in this photo are and then I read your note and realise it is taken through a window! Incredible that there are no reflections. Unusual idea to turn it into sepia but it works.

Hi Cheuk
Dramatic work and a fabulous POV. I also like the sharp details and great mood from the sepia effect. Nice composition and a dramatic feeling to the whole scene. Well done.

Hiya!
i've been there once n know tht is really hard to take a good pic from there. but u hv captured the skyline really well, n i especially like the black n white feeling, mixture of feelings: modern n ancient in contrast, i'd say.
anyway, great pic of hk! love it!

this is a interesting shot. the sepia brings an agedness to it, but the buildings and the boats are very modern. Nice shot and great composition with the buildings filling the total left side in a nice angle.
thanks

Hi Cheuk,
It is a nice work. Well done. Didn't notice any reflection as all. Maybe pretty hard to get it, wasn't it? And is the football stadium(?) bottom to left the same as the one also shown in your another shot of nightscene? Just curious..;)
Nice sepia, cya

Amazing contrast between the ultra-urbanized busy cityscape in the left and the also busy, but wide open waterway to the right.

What a tremendous pov, Cheuk! Love your sepia tones (of course), and the clarity with which you show large and small in this timeless fashion. Amazing that it seems like you are even higher than the highest of these highrises... wonderful shot!
