Lunchtime @ a baffaling street of Central. Lots of business people flocking around...
No one attracted me but this baby, receiving a gift from who? I don't know.

And yea, they sell watches at the back, several watch-shops.

Any comments'd be more than welcome! Hv a nice day :)

I like it. But Im not sure about f/7.1 This looks to me like a situation to open up, f/4 or f/3.5, id even go up to f/2.8 and really take out that busy background. I see you tried to do it with motion with that 1/40 sec exposure but its still a bit busy for me there. The moment is great though, the baby still comes out of all that clutter well.

Hi Cheuk..
This is nice capture.
Very colorful Photo with saturated color.
I like it. but as rafal mentioned about 7.1, yeah I feel it is odd selection to select this F-stop.
You are getting isolation & motion blur which really dose not look comfortable.
I mean to say..either freezing completely or go up more like F-4 or 3.5 with slow shutter & above & let everybody move other than 1 main subject.
This is one example & He has few more Photos from CS Terminal from Mumbai.

In your photo, I love the hand on unknown lady giving sweet/toy or something to small kid. very expressive.
also I feel like having some shake blur in this.

Nice photo with colorful ambient.

Hi Cheuk

A superb daily life shot, just lacking a little sharpness. Excellent framing & pov. Tfs!

Very good colourful shot Cheuk. i love the activity taking place there and how you catched it in its very natural motion. Excellent job.

The thumbnail asked for my attention and here I am. While seeing it large I looked for a place to rest the eye and I found the baby. That's good! I only think that you should have isolated the main subject while keeping her pin sharp. So my best bet is for a wider aperture (f3.5/4) that would boost the exposure time while keeping the crowd perfectly visible. Good shot though!

Hello Cheuk Hin,
I enjoy your shot very much!Super shot to freeze the momment and the action.Very interesting result, you can see the feelings to the faces of all these people.Very personal work!

Have a nice weekend,
Thomas

Hello Cheuk,
I like this picture because of the movement created by this slow shutter speed, we can feel the agitation here. People seem so busy and this moment that you caught with this children is very sweet. Thanks for making me discovered a part of your world!

I love how busy this photo is, but that baby still stands out so well. I guess it's the mysterious arm reaching out of nowhere that leads us to the baby. Perfect moment of capture with the baby reaching out to receive its gift. Great shot.

Ryan

I find this vaguely disturbing. The unknown hand reaching out to the baby is worrying me and no-one but you is looking at her. I find it interesting to look at all the other people some apparently still while others are moving. I see the experienced street photographers have given you advice about this, but I quite like to see them in focus.
Kath

A crowded scene Cheuk, with a lot of things competing for our attention, but the kid with her outstretched arm provides a good focal point.
I also like the effect of your chosen shutter speed. The fact that some of the figures are blurred emphasises the busy atmosphere, with everyone rushing about.
I like it.
Cheers,
Ben

An interesting street scene. The baby is certainly eye catching, I think the motion blur from the people around her helps to isolate her within the scene. Good colours too, and plenty of detail in the background.

Hi Cheuk,
A good street shot showing well the hustle bustle of downtown Hong Kong... i like the way the frame is filled with people coming and going in every direction... good colors, sharpness and framing
Laurent

Hi Cheuk,
A busy street scene, well executed. I know its not easy shooting on the steet but a lot of TE are doing an admirable job. You are no exception.

Hello Cheuk!
Great scene! So dynamic daily life on the street!
I like many people there walking in different ways ...
Good work!
Best regards!

Hi Cheuk, great scence from Hong Kong during the lunch time. Since I have never been to Hong Kong, I have no idea how it looks like. So your photo is informative one. It is simple but a useful daily life picture. Sothy

"A day in a life of a child in Central"

Feeling alone and leftout everyone else seems to have a life, career, goal, seeing all their facial expressions, what are they thinking? What's all the rush? Me just being carried away to play and have lunch and go with the flow...image reality of daily life in Hong Kong!

Dude I like the 'daily life' shot. It's a rare thing seeing a young child during rush hour in Central.

Overall interesting image.

In order to fulfill the photographer's intentions, please see Workshop which illustrates different isolation and rendering of the main subjects.
