[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
January 2006, Aberdeen Fish Market, Hong Kong

Fishmongers hose down their stalls at the end of a day's trade at the Aberdeen Wholesale Fish Market on the south side of Hong Kong Island.

The market is a narrow series of sheds and stalls hemmed between the harbourfront and an expansive carpark, allowing fish to be brought straight from the trawlers to the stalls and then packed into trucks to be delivered to shops and restaurants across the city.

Hi Mike, a nice noisy night one... I like the mood and the light coming from behind, the guy's attitude is also interesting, smart tilt and nice cascade of people all well placed in the frame, was he expecting a flash or didn't he want to be on the picture ?
Cheers
Yan

This one's a beauty, Mike, the flare controlled with great skill and purpose with a strong subject right up front. Textbook extreme wide use, with lovely fine grain from the Ilford.
really first class work there!
Cheers,
Francis

Wow! Mike, this one is fantastic! The tilt and placement of your subjects are fitting...the scene is of utter confusion yet the photo manages to capture the detail in a very photogenic way. Light and tonality are excellent.
