Photographer’s Note
Another picture from my recent trip to Hainan, and again the sky was what originally caught my eye.
Sanya is the capital of beach tourism on Hainan, and therefore in the the whole of China. Hainan has some excellent beaches which are providing the impetus for a huge boom in the development of the island.
In many ways, Sanya was my least favourite place on Hainan as commercial tourism has completely taken over giving it a kind of "Benidorm in waiting" feel to it, but thankfully there are still lots of places on the island to escape the commercialism (for now!). Practically every place along the coast we stopped had some kind of tourist hotel under construction.
When I took this picture the sun had just set, hence it's darkness, but this also had the effect of intensifying the detail and colours in the sky which I like.
Let me know what you think!

Hi Lee,
it's a lovely sunset shot but with one addition: the people in their silhouettes. The semi panorama pleases me for this purpose. Great light management as well. Well done!

Howdy Lee!
Amazing picture. Good light and shadow. Good POV and capture. Original composition.

A very good moment has been captured very successfully. The cycle and its owner draw special attention besides the sky of course. However, I somehow get the impression that the camera lens has not performed as it should. The softness in this picture leaves me wondering what could be the cause of it.
