Hainan Island was considered very remote from the central government of ancient China. One place near Sanya on the island was named Tian Ya Hai Jiao (literally "edge of the sky, corner of the sea").
The most fascinating thing to me was this carved stone with a Chinese poetry.

Very cool shot, Tiffany - the red paint really leaps out. Nice POV leading the viewer from the rock down to the water's edge, with good colors throughout.

a very poetic image indeed, I really like it. The stones, the palms by the sea and those striking red hieroglyphs, a wonderful scene very well captured and presented.
Thanks and my best wishes

A place with the name "edge of the sky, corner of the sea" must be very special!
Very good composition. That big rock and the palmtrees lead us nicely to the waterside.
Best regards, Paul

Like the composition, palms, rocks and a poem that seems to have a signature or the name at the left
Really poetic capture of the Corner of the sea
Like and enjoy it

Besides the red carved big rock in Chinese, there is a nice corner of the beach, Tiffany.
A small heaven along the ocean, palm trees bent from the constant wind and an absolutely fin4 clear shot.
Lovely taken photo.
