Bo'ao boats, a photo from Hainan, South

Photographer's Note

These old painted fish-scale designed boats at Bo'Ao, on the east coast of Hainan Island, caught my eye. Hainan is off the southern most coast of China.

That's Matsu Temple in the background. There is a much bigger & better temple a few kilometres out of town. That temple is known as Dongfang Wenhuayuan and is easy to reach by local mini bus #2.

Bo Ao was named after the mythological creature 'Ao' that had the head of a dragon, the body of a turtle, & the tail of a lion.

These peoples painters everything with the hand, nevertheless exactly made in a factory.
Your picture is wonderful sharp and nice clear.
A splendid panoramic picture with a lot depth and perspective.

The vegetation is framing well the boats. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the boats. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

lovely colourful shot of these fascinating and intriguing boats. Perfectly detailed and clear. They look ike they are made from a single piece of material, not sure if they are wooden or something else. Original imagery!

These fishing boats like fish with their scales. Point of view and framing create a pleasant and interesting picture. The light, colors and sharpness are very good. Bravo.
