The Yulong River is a tributary of the more famous Li River, which winds downstream from Guilin to Yangshuo through spectacular karst scenery. This area is popular for bamboo rafting, especially in the summer months, but this was taken mid winter with overcast skies.
But I liked the perspective and repetition here formed by the moored bamboo rafts. To the left is Moon Hill & to the right is the town of Yangshuo.

The rafts do indeed make a fine perspective directing the eyes toward the focal point offered by the bridge. I also like the repeating motifs provided by the rocks on the right. The rather gloomy atmosphere is nicely relieved by the reds and greens on the rafts.

We get a lovely view on these bridge and arches, a lovely perspective and depth picture.
Sharpness and clarity are perfectly.
Excellent composition, colours and presentation are very nice.
Very well done, TFS.

The reflections on the water are good to the composition. The length of the river is giving depth to the scene. The mountains are framing well the river. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the architecture of the bridge. The foggy or cloudy sky does not hurt to much the output of the colours. Have a nice day.

a fascinating place and a superbly composed shot that gives us a real idea of the magnificent setting of this bridge. It looks so beautiful, full of Chinese character and sublimely tranquil, but then in high season I would image it takes on a totally different atmosphere. Stunning imagery!
Regards - Brian.

Great repetition of these rafts, I like the composition with the bridge placed in the vanishing point and fantastic mountains at the right

interesting photo from Yangshuo in a cloudy and misty day. The long row of bamboo rafts is waiting for visitors. I like here the arched bridge and the reflections in the river.

Hello Chris - I love the row of bamboo rafts too, the red and green decoration makes a good addition to the impact of the perspective and lead the eyes to the arched bridge. I love karst landscapes and this one with the river flowing by is just so evocative. I think the overcast conditions add atmosphere to the shot. Warm regards rosemary

Good POV, pretty scenery, nice reflections. What drew me to this photo particularly are the two "lines" formed by the red and green ends of the boats. Good eye to catch that! TFS.

Yes, the repetition of the bamboo rafts in combination with the stairs at the left makes a very nice sight.
Also the view of the hazy mountains on the background.
I hadn't heard of the Yulong River so far.
Best regards, Paul

Beautiful Yulong River. I did a bike ride here, and took one of this raft back. Beautiful and lovely place, the people trying to get our business was super annoying though :) Looks like low season, not many people, you get to enjoy it in peace.
Beautiful photo as always even in this low and muted light. Give a sense of melodramatic mood.
