Sweden's very own behemoth furniture store arrived in Guangzhou in 2005 and has become a firm favourite with both locals and expats alike. Since it first entered China in 1998, IKEA has opened lots of stores in China , its first three stores were respectively opened in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. The Guangzhou Ikea Furniture Store opened its doors on October 2005. Ikea Guangzhou is located at No.150-160, ground floor of Tianyu Circle Linhe Middle Road Tianhe District, next to the Guangzhou East Station [five minutes walk]. The Guangzhou Ikea Store whose name in Chinese, "Yi Jia," means "comfortable home" follows the Sweden's Ikea Furniture Store Standard Design. The products at this IKEA are the collocation and design project of furnitures including living room, bedroom, bathroom, childrens room, dining room, kitchen, workspace, hallway and more.
Besides, it is a place makes you feel nice in this store because the it contains a cafe, with some very basic foods, along with a food shop selling cheap ice cream, hot dogs, and assorted Swedish snacks, the Swedish sweet shop is located on the ground floor, just past the cashier. Tiramisu and cheesecakes cost very cheap here, and you can have the ideal sandwiches with cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce and sliced ham for lunch with a cup of rich cappuccino. IKEA's low prices extend to the IKEA cafe, where a huge salmon salad costs only 25 yuan. The cafe is located on the store¡¯s second floor. If your stomach is rumbling after a day of shopping, just trot down to the exit bistro located after the check-out. Here you can have a quick bite and a drink at a very low price. |
