Photographer’s Note
Macro shot taken from Kodak photo print.
The combined view of The Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower of Paris, with a snapshot of 2 boys included to show the scale. This photo was taken in the miniature replica of many world landmarks (the Louvre, NYC, Liberty Statue, Lincoln Memorial, Rome's Colleseum, Brazil's National Museum etc ) in a theme park called Window of the World in Shenzhen. The replica are actually done to very minute details of resemblance to the actual landmarks. The convenience of seeing everything of the world in a day's walk around the park, but then I would not be able to shoot a sunrise or sunset or special effects because the park opening hours are limited. A little weird to find the Eiffel background to be Shenzhen skyline if viewed from a high angle.

Hi Bill
Old one and you can see it but really well balanced and allocated in the frame. I like that you have it off center to show the right side of the Arc and the Eiffel is well placed right in the middle
Well done

Hello Bill,
Interesting composition from this 'world in miniature'. Good use of the arch as a natural frame to view the tower and through that the 'real' city beyond. Thanks for sharing.

Olá Bill, you can say weird again. I had to check out the place twice to see that I wasn't in Paris ;-) I can see that the replicas are very faithful to the originals because it really looks like Paris. Funny snapshot from 2000 introducing an interesting place.

Bonjour Bill.
En voyant la vignette je me suis posé des questions sur les deux monuments de Paris. Ta note y a répondu. J'aime bien la présence des deux garçons et le fait de voir la Tour Eiffel dans l'arche de l'Arc de Triomphe !
Belle réalisation !

Hi Bill,
It's famous "Window of the World" in Shenzhen. It was able to know it to be larger than the scale that i have thought.
Best wishes, Hisashi

Hi Bill
Good idea to frame the arche by another. Good POV and the vertical framing became very attractive and interesting. Very nice job! Best regards, Consuelo

Hi Bill,
They are quite big for miniatures. You did an interesting framing. It's another nice addition to your "oldies series".

quality of this image isn't nice but I liked the compo despite this, the framing, pov and light are very good to show the place and the contrast of 2 monuments that aren't so near like they are here.

Very intriguing to see the Eiffel tower so near the Arc du Triomph! I had no idea that such a park existed.

Hi Bill,
Certainly, today you have other criteria to choose how to frame these composition elements and other cameras as well. But I think you have the photographer eyes, with intelligent achievement. The structures are in miniature, but not small enough to take them entirely from a POV like that. I think you did a good work! Amazing compact view of Paris and Shenzhen! ;-)
The note is pleasant to read, as usual.
