Pirates of the Caribbean 4 - Da Mei Sha Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken at Da Mei Sha, a quiet tropical beach area in southern China.

This coastal resort is in the Yantian District of Shenzhen city and was only a 2-hour trip from Hong Kong Island.

The local tourist literature describes the area as the Honolulu of China - "in the Eden where Adam and Eva lived".

I don't know if I would go that far, but the area certainly is beautiful.

Considering the Yantian District was only founded in March 1998, they have developed it remarkably quickly.

In fact, according to the Google Map, the small white holiday villas in the central island haven't even been built yet!

I took this photo from my hotel balcony, just as the lights were coming on, and with the camera resting on the balcony rail.

Andrew I notice some green/blue(on different monitors) cast on this image. I like the sharpness and the fine details throughout. The view towards the water and the resorts is excellent. Interesting that even with low light you managed to get some decent reflections on the water. Nice work Andrew.

This is Shenzen?! Wow, lol, I have visited Shenzen and didn't know this part existed. A quiet calm photo, I like the boat in the water with the reflections. As well as a few bright lights in the fading sun.
