Photographer's Note

This image I would like to show the three Chinese symbols on the wall. These three words mean Pawn Shop. This style is similar to those we use as "Italian Font and Bold" to me. Chinese characters are written by strokes order in this modern days in China.

China's pawning business started at the turn of the 4th and 5th centuries. In the 12th century, pawn guilds were set up in some metropolises. The 19th and early 20th centuries saw the peak of the pawn trade, when Beijing alone was home to over 150 pawnshops.

This one is about 200 years old and in my birth town and now is deserted because all the descendants have gone to the big city for better opportunities.
