Photographer's Note
According to the website, Forbidden city was built in 1406 to 1420, the complex consists of 980 buildings and covers 720,000 m2 (7,800,000 sq ft). The palace complex exemplifies traditional Chinese palatial architecture and has influenced cultural and architectural developments in East Asia and elsewhere. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987, and is listed by UNESCO as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world.

The photo was taken in consideration of the relationship between human and nature. We chinese built a lot of walls, we even built the longest wall in the world, call it the Great Wall. As the question we ask all the time, to keep everybody out,or lock ourselves in? At the end of the image, there was a bird nest, birds don't build walls, they are free.. is it one of the reason, we wish we could be birds?
Thanks for looking.

Bonsoir Jasmine,
C'est une composition originale et très différente. J'aime beaucoup les deux personnages qui sont tout petits à la croisée des chemins. C'est très réussi.

Hello Jasmine,
the wall is so dramatic in perspective as well as its strong colors. The lines lead to the two people in the middle and the lively leafless tree too.
Simple and exciting presentation.
I makes me think of the Chinese martial arts movie upon looking at this shot.
Lively view.
Regards,
Foozi

Hi Jasmine,
You show here you have an eye for geometry and composition. The colours are just right, red is always difficult with most digital cameras (except the Leica and maybe the new Fuji - I always find Canon and Nikon hard to reproduce red well)but you have done well with this Canon and managed it so well. Lovely shot.
Cheers
Justin
