This is the old bird and flower market behind the Xikai French Church in Tianjin. Fish sellers ride these giant tricycles there with stacked glass jars of fish. When this was taken, it was below freezing, so every once in a while, the fish guy would come by with a giant kettle of warm water and pour a little in; the fish would go crazy either out of extreme pleasure or extreme discomfort.

I scanned the negative, desaturated it slightly in photoshop. I framed it like this to show both the other stacked jars and the precariousness of it perching on the small board.
