Photographer’s Note
A 'Papagolfade', today. This old Anglican church, in Tianjin, was built in the British foreign concession area, in 1905. The Roman Catholic Church was less fortunate, & was destroyed in the Boxer Rebellion (1899-1901). There are some high rise buildings at right, looming up through the post industrial smog.
The Church is no longer in use, but protected from the wrecker's ball, in this historic precinct of TJ.

Hello Chris,
A good capture of this old church that must have looked very impressive in its heyday. The tones and detail are well caught with good contrast between stone and vegetation. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Chris,
Bien vu !

Hi Chris. You show a lot of unexpected and interesting places and this is one of those. I like it as it is not surrounded by fences to keep people away and the style of building is a classic from medieval times by the look of it. A very good composition. TFS. Murray.

Hello Chris,
A great shot, minus the newer buildings to the right.
This does appear to be like many French Churches that I have seen. It appears to be in remarkable condition for its age and not having been repaired.
Good shot and TFS...

Hi Chris,
seems to be a mixture of Angkor Wat and a castle by this state of a "ruin" with the trees. I like the angle and the mixture with the buildings behind. Good texture on the "used" walls.

Bonjour Chris,
un peu en ruines cette papagolfade.
De belles lumières bien dosées ici et une photo très nette.
Dommage pour ces bâtiments plus modernes derrière.
Regards.
Daniel.

Quite interesting Chris. The placement by the modern buildings in the 'post industrial smog'..
Not so well preserved - but still there - absolute interesting. Good scanner work here too..

Very starnge to see an anglican church there. The last thing I would expect. You got great colors and textures on the walls. I like the composition with the tree.

an unusual and age-ing building
a memorial to the changing times and lucky breaks
good viewpoint shows some camouflaging vegetation and sets off the tones of the brickwork
sharp details

Namaste Chris
The church is being taken over by the elements. Well framed with the tree on the left. We see modern apartment blocks on the right. Good colours & a very nice picture.
