Photographer’s Note
One of the numerous old colonial banks, dating from the 1930's, in the historic colonial district of Tianjin, a major city about an hour by bus, to the east of Beijing. I liked the subtle colour contrast between the yellow fg flowers & blue grey bg. Oh, & the lack of tourist or domestic crowds, a rare thing in China!

Hey Chris
Perfect use of the elements with the right perpective..gives enough depth to the compo..the exposure seems right..the colours are indeed well saturated..
The flower show in the FG..It does llok like a grave with a tombstone :)
Overall a good photojob..New Year Greeting !
Cheers

Hi Chris
Great perspective of this monument. Very well framed and done. The street is empty ? What time you made this one ?
All the best and Happy New Year

Salut Chris,
Une belle et bonne image chaude (comparée à la mienne) pour démarrer 2008.
Pas un chat dans les rues. Pourtant, on m'a dit que la Chine est le pays le plus peuplé ;o))
Meilleurs Voeux 2088 mon Cher Ami !

That bright green bed of flowers really made the thumbnail jump out. Yes the contrast is very effective, and the absence of people surely a strange thing in China. A green light and no car to go? A very well composed photo, this one, with a nice light and good detail on the curved facade.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Chris,
it is really empty, a big difference to a lot of other ones from there. I like the view on the flowers opening to the place full of non people with good details on the architecture.

Hi Chris!
Excellent architecture photo with a beautiful "touch" of nature! Fantastic vertical framing and composition, great depth of field that allows us to enjoy both the foreground and the background and beautiful light managment! Congratulations!

Hi Chris,
It look like a picture made very early in the morning so deserted in the always crowded China. Also the architecture seem un-China, but the colonial past explains a lot. And indeed the colour contrast is a third remarkable thing.

Hi Chris
the architectutre of this monument is beautifull and far from what we imagine of China. It could be in Europe !
NIce composition including the flowers.
Happy new year.
