Photographer’s Note

A line of fortifications extending about 4,500 mi (7,300 km) east to west from the Bo Hai (Gulf of Chihli) to a point deep in Central Asia. Built in the third century B.C. by some 300,000 laborers (mainly criminals, conscript soldiers, and slaves), the wall proved ineffective against invaders and is today a major tourist attraction.
The superb Great Wall is great indeed!
Like a big snake the wall goes up and down. The 3700 steps of the Great Wall will put your physique to the test.
It's a long way what we are allowded to visit, but the worst is in fact to climb some steps and "Hills"
