| Most people have to wrap up well to survive the sub zero temperatures common here during the winter months. This is around 8.30 am when the air temperature is around minus 8 degrees. Being made of granite allows this lady to survive and read in the park. |

Nihao Murray,
Well I prefer the iron maiden when it comes to music, but for photo I'll feel fine with thice ice maiden that delivers a good foreground as well as informative value about living conditions here.
Have a nice day JY
Hello Murray,
-8C is not very cold ;-) This is a nice statue and well placed in the image. The soft colours of the background are excellent because it remains secondary to the main subject. The lady definitely seem used to the cold temperature. Nice light and colours. Thanks :-)

hi murray
i like the play of curves and straight lines with the buildings behind her. a very simple composition that works quite well. nice job! there's a frigid joke in here somewhere...
Hello Murray,
Wow, this is a very delicate capture. As by eyes adjusted I was able to see the looming towers in the background. That really is a special effect, intentional or not! The granite woman is an interesting sight, she almost appears to be crying by the looks of those streaks on her face but it seems to be contradictory to her expression. The icy surrounds are rather unfamiliar to me. -8C would be pretty uncomfortable if wearing the standard shorts and singlet Aussie apparel.
Matt
Hi Murray,
A nice image of the sculpture of the lady standing in the cold. The point of view is giving depth to the photo allowing us to see the high rise buildings in the backgroun surrounded by fog. Well done, thanks for sharing.
