The lake dominates the park in central Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province. A city of around 7 million with 4 million in the city itself. This park, built along a river flowing through the city provides some sense of space and back to nature feel away from the busy roads.

Hi Murray,
This doesn't look too polluted as what is portrayed in the media. The water and reflections certainly adds a wonderful perspective to this city scene ... possible this is part of the city's 'feng shui'. Well composed and good overall image quality. Well done! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Hi Murray Lines,

A nice shot, I like what you have done here.

You have some very interesting lines here. You have straight lines, curved lines, vertical lines, horizontal lines, diagonal lines, and even zigzag lines. And they all invoke a specific feeling like; power, strength, action, change, scale, distance, tranquility, as well as those of quiet, calm and rest

And this is exactly what a big city is all about, cities bring together people with different feelings about themselves and about the world that they live in. Just like you have in this photograph.

Never mind about all those rules for good composition, you have captured something more important here, you have captured the "mood".

Well done.

Hi Murray,
The POV is great on that place and compo is nice. The weather didn't help, but colors are still reasonable. I may have cropped some of the sky, as it is a bit bright...
Friendly regards
Laurent

Hi Murray,
I like the way you framed this to show the curves of the bridges and the cloudy reflection. In spite of the haze, you captured excellent detail throughout. The colors have a very natural feel. I opened the picture to read about the the youth park but I guess it's just a name with no real significance. The size figures are impressive; I've never heard of Shenyang yet it has 4x the population of San Diego and is equal in size to the second most populous US city, LA.
