[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
the great wall is phenomenal..my shot i hope will show how steep it is as it follows the natural contours..in places the steps are around 3:1...thats pretty steep..
and tiring to walk up..and dangerous to come down.
the wall was built in sections and took about a year for each section..the workers who worked on a section were then allowed to go home for a year off...sort of shift work...between sections was a years gap so that workers could actually see progress as they reached the next finished section...so encouraging them and keeping up their morale...
married men who's wife had a child were allowed a year off to bond with their young..
all very civilised and correct
china's history and culture is also one of the wonders of the world
It starts from Shanhaiguan Pass in the east to Jiayuguan Pass in the west traversing provinces of Liaoning, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shaanxi and Gansu
