Photographer’s Note
Walking back to the hotel just before dusk the reflections seem so still most days. This is actually part of a natural river system which has a series of large lakes linked together. The park has dozens of people walking and doing various Tai-Chi and musical pursuits, a creative energetic population around here. The days are 17 degrees C and the nights only 2 degrees so winter approaching when this lake is frozen.
The characters on the top of the taller building means " City of the Future" , being modern condominiums compared to the older style of apartments.

Hello Murray,
The stillness of the water tells me that this is indeed the perfect spot for tai-chi. It's a perfect reflection. Excellent exposure. The lens distortion is a bit of a let-down though. Regards,
Hakan

It is amazing how the water is so still, producing perfect reflected images of the buildings. It is not everyday we can see such thing, especially at sunset. It seams to me that early mornings are more prone for no breeze weather. But here, is at sunset.
I like the compo and the great soft colours. The branches filling up the left part of the frame is excellent. Well done.

Hi Murray
There's a certain feeling of tranquility that I get when I look at this photograph and I guess its because of the lighting and the soft hues that have been created here. The buildings and their reflection in the water create symmetry that gives this picture balance.
But what intrigues me the most about this picture are all those strong vertical lines. The building reaching up from the ground and the willows reaching down from the sky. They give the scene dignity, grandeur and strength.

Hi Murray
Good use of the principle of 3, in the composition, with 3 primary verticals. The superb reflections add a further dimension. Wonderful muted colours, & good sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Murray,
One of your best images to date. It is simple in composition which is half the beauty. Excellent quality and perfect stillness. The inclusion of the hanging leaves of the weeping willow to the left is a great eye-catcher. Also, the saturation is at a perfect level. I would have been tempted to have thrown a rock in there to capture the resultant ripples. Great work.

Hi Murray,
I do not know if it is the morning light or of the end of day but it is delicious for the glance. The reflection of these high rises in these quiet waters is very pleasant. The POV with it vegetable to the left is sensible and completes the image in a artistic way. Well observed Murray, bravo.
With all my friendships,
Jean-Charles

Hi Murray,
Quite a moody photo, with its warm sunset tones, that still lake and its 'vertical' objects and their reflections. It's very nice the balance of the willow branches and the sky scrapers.
TFS, Regards, José.
