[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the far north of China you find lots of people skating, no Hockey, but lots of skating. I found this small clearing on the ice, and for a small fee you can use the maintained ice.

Most people here speed skate, or play around with butchered figure skates. (toe picks ground off) Here is a little girl, around 7 or 8 years old training by fallowing. They were doing this most of the 2 hours I spent there. Brief intermissions of coaching, fallowed by more skating.

Being a Hockey player, I can't skate in an oval. I need the freedom to move. When people start fallowing my movements I bring out a little of what I know, quick turns, stops, and changes of direction. Most of them fall, then we share a laugh. I can almost keep up with the speed but they can't maneuver.

Interesting silhouette, in a good B&W horizontakl frame. That's pretty well composed.
